  The hotel is set in lovely grounds with a lake and wooden play area for children. Lots of outside tables to make the most of the space. Hotel room was very nice and had catered for our needs by putting an extra bed into the room. A few slight issues such as shower couldn't drain fast enough so was a bit of an overflow issue but nothing major. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced.

  Extremely poor and slow service, sat down and was forgotten about, no menu or drinks. Ran out of all the main roast dishes, we were a bit late in the day but why run a restaurant till 10pm if you don't order enough food to keep serving. The rest of the menu is tiny and not worth it on a Sunday. Staff were nice when they did appear, but each time it took over 30 minutes each time we spoke to them for them to appear again if at all. Staff need training nowhere as good as it used to be.

  I found Worplesdon Place to be well presented, relaxed and the staff were friendly and approachable. My main course was nice, butternut squash quiche I think. The desert of the brownie was delicious. The best bit for me was that dogs are allowed into the bar area.
